Zoom tooth whitening

In-chair tooth whitening is a 60 minute treatment in the dental surgery. It uses a stronger concentration of hydrogen or carbamide peroxide, and usually requires a follow up take home course to achieve the best results. While in-chair whitening is a faster treatment, the solution used on the teeth is stronger and may result in sensitivity, which can be managed by desensitizer agents.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers, require a more complicated process than composite veneers. First, the dentist takes an impression of your teeth to make a model and modify the tooth shape to the desired result. The reshaped model is used as a mould to create a perfectly formed porcelain veneer to be fixed over your tooth. The porcelain veneer is about the thickness of a fingernail and is made in a dental laboratory. The veneer is fitted over your tooth at your next visit. Often the existing tooth will need to be filed down a little to fit the veneer over it.

Composite Veneers

Composite veneers are made from a tooth coloured filling resin. They are shaped, sculpted and bonded to the teeth in one appointment session, making them a quicker and cheaper option than porcelain veneers. They are used to correct less serious aesthetic problems

Invisalign

At Clovelly Dental we like to do everything we can to avoid straightening teeth with braces.

Invisalign is an innovative technology to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible to others when you wear them to allow you to straighten your teeth with confidence. You are able to completely remove Invisalign aligners to eat and clean your teeth properly. Invisalign aligners are better for your gum health and help to prevent decay.

Once we know they are strongly seating in the bone but just worn down we have multiple options to improve them, It usually starts with taking some photos and impressions and then we build them on models. Once we have the confirmation from you we can usually build them up in one visit. Some crown and bridge work might be required for better aesthetic/function which we discuss  it with you.
